He has worked for leading global paint and colorant manufacturers, where he has demonstrated expertise in innovation, product development, and technical marketing.

In 2020, Akis relocated to Switzerland to join Omya as the Application Manager for Paints & Coatings Europe, based at Omya’s global Headquarters. Omya is a leading global producer of industrial minerals.

By 2024, he advanced to the role of Head of Technical Services and Application for Paints & Coatings, focusing on the segment’s worldwide strategic initiatives.

In early 2025, Akis was appointed Director of Innovation and Technical Marketing for Construction, further expanding his influence and leadership within the industry.
