CEO | Design Principal A&M Architects 

Michael received his Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from the National Technical University of Athens, graduated with honors in 1980. He continued his graduate education at Carnegie Mellon University Pittsburgh PA, where he received a Master of Science in Architecture from the Institute Building Science, in 1982 (Extended Master’s Program). During this period, he served as an instructor in design at the school of Architecture of CMU, and upon graduation he started his career working as Junior Architect at TKA Architects in Pittsburgh PA. While working, Michael started conducting research on lighting and energy conservation for commercial environment and buildings over the years and developed great enthusiasm and passion for its adaptation in buildings, something that followed him in his later career steps. 

Moving back to Greece in 1982, Michael Mavroleon and Andy Alexiades utilized their academic and professional experience in the United States to found A&M Group. With main vision to deliver Total Design and a Full Spectrum of Design Services, A&M created a group of key players offering architecture, design, and consulting services with emphasis on new Computer Technologies and Energy efficient applications. Over the years, Michael’s vision led A&M to house all project related services under one roof including architectural design, engineering, project and construction management, interior and graphic design either on a stand-alone or an integrated basis. With “Building Relationships” as a driver philosophy since the beginning, A&M created strong and long-term bonds with prestigious clients and international corporations, key players in the current market. 

Today, Michael holds the position of Chairman and CEO of A&M Architects, broadening the company’s’’’ international outlook with his ability to create relations of trust and friendship with the company clients and associates. Being present at all design stages, Michael’ exposes a constant need to search for new methodologies while treating each project as a challenge. With an entrepreneurial and innovative spirit Michael believes in a creative collaboration, something that has been a distinct asset in the A&M attitude for many years. Michael has shaped A&M core values based on the philosophy and value of a Greek family as well as the American mentality of professionalism.
