Director Industrial Policy, European Chemical Industry Council (CEFIC)

George Kapantaidakis is the Director of Industrial Policy at Cefic, the European Chemical Industry Council. He has been with the organization since 2014.

George is a Chemical Engineer with a PhD from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, specializing in polymeric membranes for gas separations, and a Post Doc from the University of Twente in the Netherlands. With over 31 years of professional experience, George has held various high-level positions in both the public and private sector at the National and European level.

He recently spearheaded the coordination and management of the Antwerp Declaration at Cefic, advocating for a European Industrial Deal. This initiative has garnered support from 1279 organizations across 25 different industrial sectors.
